Welcome to Crayton’s first Missouri High School Rodeo! He’s got his contestant number and the rule book. Now for the fun to begin…
Pairing up with Kooper Wood for team roping. Kooper caught on the head side in both sessions, but Crayton was not able to connect on the heel side. (the calf wasn’t always in perfect position, but that is part of it) No times this weekend, but a great experience for these High School Rookies in team roping.
Crayton missed his calf on Saturday, but caught on Sunday. The calf was wild and crazy and Crayton wasn’t able to handle it quickly enough to get it thrown and tied within the 30 second time limit.
Notes:
He calf roped on Colton Devore’s paint gelding. A special thanks to him for his guidance and the horse.
Crayton also borrowed Sam & Mary Schwieter’s horse trailer for the weekend, equipped with a tack room. It made it nice for hauling saddles and other tack. It also gave him a place to keep a cooler and personal items locked up.
Amenities:
Stalls and Camper/RV Hookups available. Bathrooms with showers on location.
Crayton was able to stay with a friend near Milan so he didn’t need to camp or tie out the horses over night.
