Results/Memories:

Bad luck for Crayton this weekend. Both of his calves were fast and darted around. He caught on Saturday, but was out of time before he could throw and tie him. Sunday, he would have caught, but didn’t pull his slack quickly enough and the calf ran through his rope. No times. 🙁

The bad luck continued into the team roping. Kooper over ran the calf coming out of the chute both days. It was a bad draw with slow, stubborn steers.

Crayton also entered into the draw for team roping. Zoe Tunks was his header during the Saturday night and Sunday sessions. She missed on Saturday, but caught on Sunday. They finished in fourth place. (Yes, that should say “Crayton Schwieter” lol) Since he was in the draw pot he didn’t receive any points or pay out, but it was great practice and he enjoyed helping Zoe.

Notes:

The Fayette rodeo operated on a different schedule than the others: Saturday started at 10am with Junior High, followed by High School Slack with a High School Performance at 7pm. Sunday ran a normal schedule.

Crayton used Colton’s horse again this week for the calf roping- A special thanks to him!

Amenities:

Stalls and Camper/RV Hookups available. Bathrooms with showers on location.

Crayton was able to rent/borrow a living quarters trailer for the weekend from Maeghan Smith. He was able to spend the night, both Friday and Saturday, and had the horses tied to his trailer right out the window.
